Play 2: Linking Proof to Projects
Go beyond simple storage. Learn how to connect your compliance evidence directly to the specific projects, stages, and requirements it fulfills, creating an unbreakable audit trail.
The Objective
An Evidence Locker is powerful, but its true value is unlocked when you connect that evidence to the real world. The objective of this play is to create a live, traceable link from a specific project requirement (e.g., "Fireproofing for Level 14 structural steel") directly to the piece of evidence that proves it has been met.
Key Step 1: Create a Case File for Your Project
In Demiton, every project is an investigation with a dedicated Case File. This is the central hub where you manage all the compliance stages and requirements for a specific build.
The Play:
- Navigate to Case Files and click "Open New Case".
- Use a pre-built Case Template (e.g., "Commercial Construction NCC Handover") to automatically populate your Case File with all the standard stages and evidence requirements.
- This creates your investigation blueprint for the project.
Key Step 2: Fulfill Requirements by Linking Evidence
With your blueprint established, your team can now begin closing the loops. For each requirement in a stage, you can link the proof.
The Play:
- Open the "Stages & Requirements" tab in your Case File.
- Find the requirement you need to fulfill (e.g., "Provide Asbestos Clearance Certificate").
- Click "Add Requirement" (or similar action) and choose the evidence type.
- For a document, you can search your Evidence Locker and link the specific, verified
Document
. For an inspection, you can assign the relevantForm
for a team member to complete. - The status of the requirement updates in real-time, giving you a live view of your compliance progress.
