Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Demiton — what it is, which systems it supports, how deployment works, pricing, and the Claude MCP connector.

About Demiton

What is Demiton?

Demiton is an Australian construction operations intelligence platform. It connects Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Assignar, PayCat, and SharePoint into a single intelligence layer, giving construction firms per-project P&L, site diary intelligence, automated vendor statements, and a Claude MCP connector — all from their existing systems.

Who is Demiton built for?

Demiton is built for mid-tier construction firms in Australia — typically civil, commercial, or industrial contractors running Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as their ERP and Assignar for field operations. Typical team size: 50–500 people, multiple concurrent projects.

Is Demiton replacing our existing systems?

No. Demiton connects to your existing systems — it does not replace them. Business Central stays your ERP. Assignar stays your field ops platform. Demiton is the intelligence layer that sits above them and makes them answer together.

Is Demiton venture-backed?

No. Demiton is independently owned and operated. It is not venture-backed and is not on a growth-at-all-costs trajectory. This means deployments are controlled, implementations are hands-on, and product decisions prioritise stability over feature velocity.

Where is Demiton based?

Demiton is an Australian company, founded and operated in Australia. It is built specifically for the Australian construction market, Australian banking (CommBiz, Westpac, NAB, ANZ), Australian payroll (PayCat), and Australian compliance requirements.

Systems & Integrations

Which systems does Demiton connect to?

Demiton currently connects to: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP), Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (banking/payments), Assignar (field operations and site diaries), PayCat (Australian payroll), SharePoint (documents and compliance records), Microsoft Entra ID (identity and SSO), and Claude via Model Context Protocol (AI connector). Banking integrations include CommBiz, Westpac, NAB, and ANZ.

Do you support Procore or Buildertrend?

Not currently. Demiton's initial focus is on Australian construction firms using Assignar for field operations. New system integrations are added per client — contact us if you need a specific connector.

Does Demiton work with Xero?

Xero integration is on the roadmap for smaller construction firms. Current ERP focus is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance.

Which Australian banks are supported?

Demiton supports host-to-host SFTP payment delivery to CommBiz (Commonwealth Bank), Westpac, NAB (National Australia Bank), and ANZ. New banking connectors can be added for specific client requirements.

Can you add a connector for a system we use that isn't listed?

Yes. Demiton's adapter architecture is designed for extension. New system connectors are scoped and built as part of the implementation engagement. The Adapter Bounty programme (see the Waitlist page) allows clients to prioritise specific connectors by funding their development.

Deployment & Pricing

How long does deployment take?

A typical Demiton deployment takes 4–8 weeks from kickoff to go-live. This includes adapter configuration, data model alignment, pipeline validation, and team onboarding. Demiton deploys with hands-on implementation support — not self-serve.

How much does Demiton cost?

Pricing is engagement-based and depends on the number of systems connected, projects in scope, and modules activated. Contact us to request a tailored proposal.

Why only two new clients per quarter?

Demiton is deliberately capacity-constrained. Each client gets hands-on implementation support from the same team that builds the product. Scaling deployment faster than implementation quality allows is not something Demiton will do.

Is there a self-serve option?

Not currently. All Demiton deployments are guided implementations. This ensures data models are correctly aligned, pipelines are validated against your specific system configuration, and your team is properly onboarded.

Claude MCP Connector

What is the Demiton Claude MCP connector?

The Demiton Claude MCP connector is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allows Claude to query your live Demiton data in natural language. Connect once at https://demiton.io/mcp and Claude can answer questions about project P&L, site diary compliance, vendor balances, and scheduling — directly from your Business Central and Assignar data.

Which Claude surfaces support the MCP connector?

The Demiton MCP connector works with claude.ai (web), Claude Desktop (Mac and Windows), Claude Mobile (iOS and Android), and any application built on the Claude API that supports MCP connectors.

Is the Claude connector read-only?

Yes. The Demiton MCP connector is read-only. Claude can query your data but cannot modify your Business Central, Assignar, or any other connected system through the connector.

Are MCP queries logged?

Yes. All MCP connector calls are recorded with a full audit trail — what was queried, by whom (once identity-bound authentication is active), and when. This is part of Demiton's identity-first, audit-everything architecture.

What is the MCP server URL?

The Demiton MCP server is available at https://demiton.io/mcp — accessible to all active Demiton subscribers. Authentication is via your tenant API key.

Security & Trust

Where is data stored?

Demiton is hosted on Microsoft Azure in Australia. All data processed by Demiton pipelines is handled within Azure services under Australian data residency requirements.

Does Demiton store my financial data?

Demiton reads from your source systems (Business Central, Assignar, PayCat) and presents that data through its intelligence layer. For payment pipeline processing, Demiton uses ephemeral memory — data is processed in RAM and not written to disk. Full audit logs of pipeline execution are persisted, but not the raw financial data payloads.

How does identity work?

Demiton uses Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) for authentication and SSO. Every pipeline run, audit event, and user action is bound to an Entra ID identity.
