One Job

How a pilot runs its first month: one job, one project manager, the five diseases watched, and a pack the champion takes to the boss.

The interior of a ute cab at first light, seen from behind the driver. The title One Job is set over it.
01
A printed record page of ruled lines on a black field.
02
The ask, as four labelled fields: one job free to AU$1M, one champion, the credit theirs, and Android while Apple decides.
03
What the research says on a AU$1.5M job, as four labelled fields: AU$150k of rework lost, AU$159k of variations to claim, AU$148k of margin, all over the whole job.
04
Two men on a wet site, one writing in a notebook, with balloons asking where the job gets built twice and answering the culvert headwalls.
05
Rework, the interview, as five labelled fields: the hour, each answer written down, checked against the registers and the protections, and the gap.
06
Two workers at the site office wall with the programme pinned to it, with balloons asking whether the subcontract is in and answering it is now.
07
Missed claims, every contract running, as four labelled fields: the head contract, every subcontract, every obligation, every clock.
08
A worker kneeling on a compacted earthworks lot beside a nuclear density gauge.
09
Disputes, the evidence list, as five labelled fields: payment, delays, variations, latent conditions and close-out, each with the records it is won on.
10
Two workers standing aside while the rest of a crew walks through a site gate in rain.
11
Lapsed compliance from the contract, as three labelled fields: what it requires, who is on, and who can start before the shift.
12
Three idle machines on the left and an estimator on the phone on the right, with balloons saying earthworks is twelve grand over and answering wet week.
13
Cost drift, the weekly meeting, as four labelled fields: the budget against actuals register, who, the question and the answer.
14
The month as four labelled fields, week one to week four.
15
The score kept every week, as five labelled fields: raised, acted on, signed off, hours and noise.
16
A man in a business shirt standing in a doorway, with balloons asking what a month found and answering every line signed off.
17
The pack for the boss, as four labelled fields: research says, we found, we recovered, and who presents.
18
A pulled quote: the research says what a job like this loses, the month says where this one does.
19
A phone showing Ask Demiton and a code, above the line One job. One month.

The research figures come from research.demiton.io, read 4 October 2026, and cover a whole job, not one month. The rework interview, and four of the five dispute types, are done by hand during the pilot month; the contract clocks, payment evidence, lapsed compliance and budget against actuals are read by the product. Bridgeworks is a demo company.
