Pinned

The Monday edition. What went live on Saturday night, a week waiting on Apple, a culvert walked into a 3D scene, and the first person we are hiring.

A woman seen from behind in a dark site office before dawn, pinning a sheet to a crowded noticeboard, rain on the window. The title Pinned is set over it.
01
A printed record page of ruled lines on a black field.
02
Live since Saturday night, as five labelled fields: requests, their money, the inbox ranked by money, one clock for every claim, delay, incident and NCR, and four schedules replacing the five daily jobs.
03
A phone in a gloved hand behind two notifications carrying the Demiton mark, one as an iPhone shows it and one as Android does, each reading 1 decision needed on Coomera Connector with the buttons Lodged, Not lodged and Open. Designed, not built yet.
04
One clock each, as five labelled fields: a delay, an NCR and a claim each start their own window, proof meets only its own clock, and a run of delay days is one delay.
05
Whose holidays, as three labelled fields: a Queensland job counts Queensland public holidays, a New South Wales job counts its own, and Victoria excludes 22 December to 10 January only from 15 April 2026.
06
Who answers, as four labelled fields: every request routed up the delegation of authority, the champion, delegation of authority ladders with each ceiling in its own currency, and the Obligations tab.
07
Ships with this edition, as four labelled fields: the watch at 05:00, 12:00 and 14:30 site time, a late notice reading MISSED, an on-time notice voiding the forfeit, and a job nobody holds asking its admins and champion.
08
Two workers at the site office noticeboard, one pinning a sheet, with balloons asking about the iPhone app and answering still waiting on Apple.
09
The Apple account as five dated fields: enrolled 3 September, chased 25 September, asked on 28 September for photo ID, proof of employment and a Firmenregisterauszug, documents received 29 September, and no decision today.
10
Built while we wait, as four labelled fields: Siri, Spotlight, a locked phone that names the job but never a person or the money, and a prototyped Live Activity.
11
A site manager in a high visibility vest seen from behind, filming a concrete box culvert in an earthworks cut with his phone.
12
A concrete culvert rendered as a cloud of bright stippled dots floating in black space, its edges scattering away.
13
How a walk becomes a scene, as five labelled fields: the phone, the upload to Australia East, COLMAP for camera positions, gsplat training stopped at 90 minutes, and the PlayCanvas viewer.
14
Where site capture is, as four labelled fields: released behind a switch, the training image proven on CPU, waiting on GPU quota, and the demo company only.
15
A pulled quote: a photo shows what you pointed at, a splat keeps what you did not think to point at. Below it, what a splat is and is not.
16
An empty office chair with a high visibility vest draped over it, a hard hat and a closed notebook on the table in front.
17
Wanted, an Implementation PM, as four labelled fields: the job, the systems, the protections, and what you have done.
18
Also on the board: the comics at demiton.io/comics, an edition every Monday, and the blog staying for long reads.
19
A phone reading Hiring, Implementation PM, support@demiton.io, Apply, above the line We are hiring.

Panels 3 and 7 went live in production on 3 and 4 October 2026; panel 8 ships with the release that publishes this edition. The Apple dates come from Apple's own emails. Site capture is built and released behind a switch, and no splat has been trained on a GPU yet. Bridgeworks is a demo company.
